- Rediscovering old music favorites (see: John Mayer), and discovering new bands that I wish I would have heard years ago. Which makes me wonder - how would my music landscape be different now if I had found (insert band here) a year ago? I'm kinda guessing I would have stopped listening to Fall Out Boy a long time ago...
- Bread. Hi, I'm Colin and I'm a carboholic. 11 steps left.
- Vintage. More of a lifelong obsession, but I've had retro on the brain more often lately. I think I was actually born in the '70's and then cryogenically frozen until 1988 where I was cruelly placed in the disgrace that was the '80's. I'm talking about you, acid-washed jeans.
- Dissecting personal relationships. There's nothing my over-analytical brain likes more than figuring out why I'm around the people I am. And why I do the things I do around said people.
- Photography. If you have an eye for something, then you probably know what I mean when I say I cannot point my eyes at anything without wondering how it would look when developed...If only I could see the decisions about my future majors as clearly.
- Waiting. Notice, I didn't say patience. It seems I have been forced into situations lately that require massive amounts of patience, and the gods must be laughing hysterically considering they failed to give me more than an ounce in that particular area. Real funny guys, real funny.
- Facial Tissue. My new best friend since my nose has decided to install an irrigation system without my permission.
- Doing things that make me uncomfortable. For some odd reason, my psyche has been triggering my body to do things that I would have found absolutely excruciating a week ago. I'm talking socially here. I swear, my brain doesn't have a right and left, it has two well-trained brown belts in a fight-to-the-death cagematch duking it out for control of my mind. And no I don't have a psychological disorder. Just chronic, severe ADD. (aka: I'm stepping out of my comfort zone, but that phrase makes me picture myself in the movie Bubble Boy...not a good thing)
Make good choices!
Colin
